Saffron Tea Recipe - Herbal Tea with many health benefits

Saffron Tea Recipe: 


4 servings - Preparation time: 10 minutes - Cooking time: 18 minutes. 


Saffron tea infused with a touch of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, rose, and honey, combined with green tea, creates a refreshing and uplifting drink. Whether served hot or cold, this wonderfully flavourful tea is guaranteed to bring you comfort.

 
Saffron Tea Ingredients: 


- 900ml of water; 
- 15 Luxurients threads; - 12 almonds; 
- 3 cardamom pods; 
- 2 cloves; 
- 2 cinnamon sticks; 
- 2 green tea bags; 
- 1/4tsp of rose water; 
- 1tbsp of honey. 


Saffron Tea Preparation: 


1. Add water into a small saucepan and bring to boil; 
2. Very gently crush cardamom and cloves with a mortar and pestle. You don’t want to powder it, just want to release the oils and aroma; 
3. Add the crushed cardamom and cloves to the boiling water along with the cinnamon sticks and Luxurients saffron threads; 
4. Cover with a lid and simmer on low flame for 10-15 minutes until water has reduced; 
5. Once the water has reduced, turn off the flame and add the green tea bags, honey and rose water. Stir and then cover with lid for 3 minutes to let tea infuse with the herbs; 
6. In the meantime gently chop the almonds and 1tsp into each teacup; 
7. Strain tea and pour into the almond garnished teacups and enjoy.
